Kavehome Korea (hereinafter referred to as “Kavehome”) establishes and discloses the Personal Information Policy as follows in order to protect the personal information of the information subject in accordance with Article 30 of the [Personal Information Protection Act] and to promptly and smoothly handle related complaints.

Article 1. Purpose

Kavehome uses collected personal information for the following purposes.

The collected personal information will not be used for any purpose other than the following, and if the purpose of use is changed, necessary measures will be implemented, such as obtaining separate consent in accordance with related laws

1) Membership registration and management (including Kave Pro company registration)
For the purpose of confirmation of intention to sign up for membership, identification and authentication according to the provision of membership service, maintenance and management of membership, prevention of illegal use of services, confirmation of consent of a legal representative when processing personal information of children under 14 years of age, various notices/notifications, and complaints handling

2) Provision of goods or services
For the purpose of product delivery, service provision, contract/invoice delivery, content provision, customized service provision, identity verification, age verification, purchase and payment, and debt collection

3) Complaints handling
For the purpose of verifying the identity of the complainant, confirming the complaint, contacting/notifying for fact investigation, and notifying the processing result.

4) Service improvement
For the purpose of optimizing the website for the user's device, improving the Internet use experience and using business statistical data, and improving/developing services

5) Marketing(optional)
For the purpose of providing Kavehome benefits and service information, newsletters, various event information, and various marketing information only to those who have consented to the marketing purpose.

6) HR management (optional)
For the purpose of managing Kavehome's HR management limited to those who use the HR support function

Article 2.Retention


1. Kavehome processes/retains personal information within the period of retention/use of personal information in accordance with laws and regulations or within the period of retention/use of personal information agreed upon when collecting personal information from the information subject. When the purpose of collecting personal information or the purpose for which it was provided is achieved, the collected information will be destroyed.

  1. Notwithstanding the preceding paragraph, if it is necessary to retain the information according to the relevant laws, it will be preserved for that period. In this case, Kavehome will only use the information it stores for that purpose.
  2. Retention periods are as follows.

- Records on contract or subscription withdrawal, etc.: 5 years

- Records on payment and supply of goods: 5 years

- Records of consumer complaints or dispute resolution: 3 years

- Computer communication, Internet log record data, access point tracking data: 3 months

- Telecommunication date and time of subscriber, start/end time, counterpart subscriber number, frequency of use, source base station location tracking data: 1 year

Article 3. Information sharing and offering

Kavehome processes the collected personal information only to the extent that it is suitable for the purpose, and provides personal information to a third party only when the consent of the information subject is given or required by special provisions of the law.

Article 4. Entrust of collected personal information

  1. Kavehome entrusts the following personal information processing tasks for smooth personal information processing.
  2. When concluding an entrustment contract, Kavehome stipulates in documents such as contract, responsibilities such as prohibition of personal information processing other than the purpose of performing entrusted work, technical/administrative protection measures, restriction of re-entrustment, management/supervision of trustee, and compensation for damages depending on the purpose of entrustment work

  1. If the contents of the entrustment work or the trustee is changed, we will disclose it through this Personal Information Policy without delay.

Article 5. Overseas transfer of personal information

Kavehome Korea (hereinafter “Kavehome”) may transfer the collected personal information abroad as follows.

If you do not agree to the transfer of this personal information, you will not be able to join Kavehome's website, and will not be able to receive the benefits provided by Kavehome on the premise of membership registration.

However, if there is a need to use personal information even after withdrawal from membership within the scope of the purpose of collection/use, such as handling complaints that have already filed, it shall be destroyed without delay after achieving its purpose

Article 6. Users’ rights

  1. The information subject can exercise the right to view, correct, delete, and request suspension of processing of personal information at any time for Kavehome.
  2. The exercise of rights pursuant to Paragraph 1 for Kavehome can be done through the website, phone, e-mail, etc., and Kavehome will take necessary measures without delay.
  3. The exercise of the rights pursuant to Paragraph 1 can be done through an agent such as the legal representative of the information subject or a person who has been delegated. In this case, you must submit a power of attorney in accordance with the relevant laws.
  4. Requests for viewing and suspending processing of personal information may limit the rights of the information subject based on the provisions related to the Personal Information Protection Law.
  5. Requests for correction and deletion of personal information cannot be made if the personal information is specified as a collection target by other laws and regulations.
  6. Kavehome confirms whether the person who made the request for browsing, the request for correction and deletion, the request for suspension of processing, the inspection, etc. in accordance with the rights of the information subject is the person himself / herself or a legitimate agent.

Article 7. Items of personal information processed

1) Member registration
Required: Name (first name, last name), email address, date of birth

Required: Name, address, phone number, email address, shipping address (home/work, etc.)
Optional: Notes on delivery and order details

3) Complaint’s handling
Required: Name, address, phone number, purchase and use history, payment and delivery information, complaints received, photos and videos required for complaints filing (product photography)

4) Payment information
Required: Information collected during purchase and payment, such as credit card company, card number, and purchase information

5) Marketing purpose (Newsletter, event, benefit information, experience group application, etc.)
Optional: Address, email, mobile phone number

6) HR management
Required: Name, contact information, e-mail address
Optional: Professional contents such as career history

Article 8.Disposal

  1. When personal information is no longer needed, such as when the personal information retention period has elapsed or the processing purpose has been achieved, Kavehome will destroy the relevant information without delay.
  2. If the personal information retention period agreed by the information subject has passed, or if the processing purpose has been achieved but personal information must be continuously stored in accordance with other laws and regulations, the personal information is moved to a separate database (DB) or stored in a different storage location.
  3. Kavehome destroys the personal information in following procedures and ways;

- Kavehome selects the personal information for which the reason for destruction has occurred, and destroys the personal information with the approval of the personal information supervisor of Kavehome.

- Ways of destruction: At Kavehome, personal information recorded and stored in electronic file format is destroyed so that the record cannot be reproduced, and personal information recorded and stored in paper documents is shredded with a shredder or incinerated.

Article 9. Security

Kavehome takes the following measures to ensure the safety of personal information.

  1. Systematic security: Establishment and implementation of internal management plan, regular employee training, etc.
  2. Technological security: Member password encryption, document backup and vaccine program use, assigning an information officer account etc.

Article10. Automatic personal information collection system

  1. Kavehome uses 'cookies' that retrieve usage information from time to time to provide users with individually tailored services.
  2. A cookie is a small amount of information sent to the user's computer browser by the server (http) used to operate the website, and is also stored on the hard disk of the user's PC

This Personal Information Policy is effective January 1, 2022.
