AW24 PREMIUM COLLECTION
Shinbi’s place, filled with Nordic sensibility, is styled in the beloved Scandinavian way. Kave Home has also contributed to this space.
The white interior, herringbone flooring, and the natural light streaming through large windows perfectly illustrate the typical characteristics of Scandinavian design. This space exudes a unique beauty within simplicity, featuring small plants, minimalist art pieces, and humble pottery. Particularly impressive point is the way these items are arranged in a display nook on one side of the living room wall, adding a point of interest while maintaining overall harmony.
We also explored some interior design tips from Shinbi, who has mastered the art of Nordic interior design.
Q1. What was the reason for choosing Yalia armchair?
A: I wanted to place a solid wood armchair in the white living room. The combination of the natural texture of oak and the handmade woven paper rope seat was so beautiful. When I sat in it, it felt so comfortable that I knew this was the one.
Q2. What do you consider the most important when decorating a space?
A space is ultimately a place where people stay. I believe that a home should be cozy and comfortable. That's why I generally prefer warm, Nordic-style home decor. I think it's also nice to add visual interest to spaces, using objects, lighting, artwork, or blankets.
Q3. Do you have any personal tips?
Just as we change our clothes with the seasons, I think it’s important to introduce changes to our living spaces with each season or occasion. Whether it’s adjusting the layout slightly or swapping out accessories, objects, blankets, or flowers, you can create a new vibe. I often get inspiration from interior magazines or Pinterest.
One of the items Shinbi chose is the Yalia Lounge Armchair from the Yalia Collection. Made with the sturdy quality of oak wood and a hand-woven paper rope seat, this piece exudes a simple, timeless design. It is also available in differnt finishes, allowing you to choose the color that best fits your space.
Exploring Shinbi’s space has offered insights into how modern living can be connected with nature. I hope this inspires all those who strive for a simple and harmonious life.
